The paramedical examiner is the paramedical company representative that performs physical examinations and specimen collection as part of the requirement in life insurance applications. The procedure that the examiner performs depends on the client's policy, age, and amount of insurance as well as what is directed by the insurance company's underwriting department. Procedures may include acquiring information through a medical questionnaire, vital signs, EKG, urine and blood collection.
